5th. International Conference
The Fifth Conference of the then Federation of Christian Police Fellowships (FCPF), which was held at High Leigh, Hertfordshire, October 29 to October 31, 2008.

The conference was attended by 40 people, with delegates from UK, Nigeria, Southern Sudan, Switzerland, USA, Germany, South Africa and Spain. It was the first time Spain and Sudan had attended a conference. The theme of the conference was ‘Celebrating Gods Power in Action’

It was an opportunity for delegates to share ideas and on-going activities about the Christian police work in their own country. Young people and anti-social behaviour was one of the key concerns that were mentioned by all.

It was also an opportunity to exchange policing methods and it became apparent that neighbourhood policing was being implemented in some shape all over the world.
Each country shared their initiatives and these included family holidays, circulating colouring books for children, bibles for police officers and regional conferences.

Some delegates were excited as there had been a small snowfall and they had never seen snow before, despite the central heating being on in the building, they were still very cold and it was an unusual sight to see them sitting with woolly hats, scarves and gloves on.
